Purchased at the PSBA Annual Bonsai Auction’s Silent Auction.

It was being sold by Mille Russell, who lives in a retirement community in Gig Harbor. As I was running the silent auction it broke my heart that this was the only lot that wasn’t going to sell, so I bid the minimum $25 for it and picked it up.

I was looking around and found this blog post about Millie’s ocean-front garden prior to moving into the retirement community. Perhaps this tree once enjoyed these views from her garden…
